Readme for files Brule2FinalData.dat and Fence2FinalData.dat. These data are from the Brule tower (N 46.466833, W 91.566743) and Fence tower (N 45.735359, W 88.427305) sites that were part of the initial deployment of six sites across northern Wisconsin in the summer and fall of 2003. This work was supported by the DOE project "Regional Ecosystem - Atmosphere CO2 Exchange via Atmospheric Budgets". CO2 was measured using a Licor LI-820 sensor. Measurements were made at 1 Hz. and averaged for five minutes to reduce the random noise inherent in the LI-820 sensor. Every two hours the system was calibrated by measuring four gasses of known CO2 levels. Accuracy of the measurements is expected to be better than +/- 1 ppm but has not been independently verified. Please contact Scott Richardson (srichardson@psu.edu) with questions. Data format is: 230.025,NaN 230.0257,NaN 230.0264,NaN 230.0271,352.584 230.0278,352.4792 230.0285,352.2784 Column 1 is day of the year. Column 2 is CO2 in ppm. Each observation represents a 5-minute average CO2 concentration. NaN indicates that either data was not available because a calibration cycle was taking place or the data was deemed bad for another reason.
